The City of Butler now has a policy in place to allow community members to be able to rent a portion of the Public Safety Building.
A Policy for Use of the City Fire Station was approved by Butler City Council during a special meeting held Monday night.
The cost for the rental is $100 and maximum occupancy will be enforced by the city’s Building Code Official.
This action comes following a request by a new Neighborhood Drug Watch group that has formed in the city. Once an official request has been submitted by the group and voted on by council, the group could begin holding meetings at the fire station at the end of this month.
