The City of Butler hoping to get some help from Butler County to make some renovations at Butler Memorial Park.
City Council approved a motion Thursday to comply with the requirements of the Butler County Parks Renovation Program to help with replacing fall protection around the playground equipment.
The city is waiting on a quote for the exact cost of the project but it is expected to be between $5,000 and $7,000. Through the program, the city would pay 25 percent of the cost with the county picking up the rest.
Notification of the awarding of money is expected by May 19th. 2015 was the last time that the City of Butler was awarded money through this program.
