Members of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler are open to the idea of a new partnership with other local organizations.
City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority Stadium Manager Dean Selfridge presented information about a Butler City Development Partnership with a goal of improving economic well-being and cultural vibrancy.
The new Partnership would see one or two members from several downtown Butler organizations meet regularly to discuss ways to help each other work towards common objectives but all groups and authorities would continue to operate independently.
In some cases, resources could be shared between the groups such as workers from the AARP currently helping out at the stadium utilized in other areas around town when they are not needed there.
The Redevelopment Authority is the fourth local group Selfridge has reached out to about this idea and he plans to talk with others in the near future.
