A local municipality will receive federal funding through a state program in order to assist city residents.
The City of Butler has been awarded $200,000 through the Pennsylvania HOME Investment Partnerships program.
This federal money will allow the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler to administer affordable owner-occupied housing for lower income residents.
A total of over $8 million in funding has been recently distributed through this program to municipalities and organizations in 15 counties across the state.
