Butler City Police are investigating a dog fighting incident that happened earlier this week.
Our newsroom was able to verify that an altercation between two dogs took place Tuesday in the 400 block of McKean Street.
A large group of people formed and attempted to separate the dogs when the situation escalated into a confrontation.
No charges have been filed so far but police continue to look closer at multiple issues as this investigation remains open.
