The Butler man wanted for the alleged assault of a juvenile has been arrested.
Butler City Police say 37-year-old Danny Nichols of Butler was taken into custody at St. Michael’s Church on Center Avenue about 7 p.m. Wednesday. He was arrested without incident.
He has since been arraigned and is being held in the Butler County Prison on $75,000 bond pending his court date.
Officers had been looking for Nichols since Sunday when they were called to his home on Standard Avenue where police determined he was allegedly responsible for strangling his daughter. Officers were unable to make contact with him, at times using flash bangs and tear gas.
When city police finally made it inside, he was not there, and a search ensued.
He has now been charged with felony strangulation.
