The Butler City Parks, Recreation Grounds & Facilities Authority is dealing with multiple resignations of board members and an administrator.
Board Chairman Nick Ban informed the authority of his resignation last month due to personal reasons. Board member John Spinetti resigned his position by an email sent to authority members Wednesday.
Stadium Manager Larry Sassone stepped down from his volunteer position earlier this month for unspecified reasons.
None of the resignations are thought to be related although the remaining board members mentioned that serving on this authority is a time-consuming commitment.
The authority is moving quickly to hire someone to take over the rental scheduling portion of the Stadium Manager’s position. A possible candidate proposed his interest in the job to the authority Wednesday night. A final decision will not be made until after the Authority consults with their solicitor.
