The Butler City Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority is considering contracting with the Butler BlueSox to provide services at Kelly Automotive Park.
Representatives of the BlueSox voiced their concerns at Wednesday night’s meeting about the status of field and facility maintenance, as well as the currently unfilled Stadium Manager position.
Although the specifics were not outlined, discussion was had surrounding the possibility of financial lease concessions from the authority in exchange for the BlueSox handling additional responsibilities at the park.
A special public meeting will be held Feb. 8 at the park, at which time an agreement could be approved.
