Butler City is investing in the purchase of a new truck to replace a rusted out vehicle currently in use by the streets department.
City Council approved a motion Thursday night to get a 2023 Ford F-550 from Shultz Ford-Lincoln in the amount of just over $67,000.
This expense is expected to come out of the Liquid Fuels Tax Revenue Fund as is purchasing hydraulics, a salt-spreader and possibly a dump.
This truck is expected to be able to be used by city streets employees before next winter.
