Chris Young‘s new album, I’m Comin’ Over, arrives in stores everywhere today (Friday, November 13th). The project includes 11 new songs, nine of which were co-written by Chris. The singer also co-produced the album.
Chris tells us that I’m Comin’ Over represents the next chapter of his career. “This is the next step for me. This is my next step, musically. I think that it continues a lot of the things that people love from previous records, and it also moves me forward as an artist because if you don’t continue to grow and you do continue to make the same song over and over with the same sounding record over and over then you’re not only doing a disservice to fans you’re doing a disservice to yourself cause I’m not the same person I was 10 years ago and I’m definitely not the same artist as far as what I have to say on this project. I still relate to all those songs and I still relate to everything that I said then but I have new stuff to say now, and so I think it’s important that I continue to do just that — grow, say new things.”
The album’s title track is a Top Five hit at Country radio.
Earlier this week, Chris announced his I’m Comin’ Over tour, which kicks off on January 21st in Lowell, MA. The trek features opening act Cassadee Pope, who recorded a duet with Chris called “Think Of You” for I’m Comin’ Over.
