Chris Young’s name has been dragged into the center of this week’s shocking split between Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, but Chris has publicly defended himself, denying being any part of a love triangle. TMZ reports that according to sources, Blake suspected Miranda had cheated on him twice, one time possibly with Chris, who has toured with Miranda and once shared the same manager. TMZ clarifies that according to the source, Chris was not the reason for the divorce, but rather her alleged infidelity with another man who is not a country singer.
Chris took to Twitter yesterday (Tuesday, July 21st) to clear his name. He wrote, “I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will. My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up.”
Blake reportedly learned of Miranda’s alleged cheating a couple weeks ago, about the time he filed for divorce. Sources say the singer has been very upset about the situation, and “told her (Miranda) she had to get her animals off his Oklahoma ranch by Monday (July 20th).”
Blake has replaced his Twitter cover photo from a pic of Miranda’s Marie Claire magazine cover to a shot of him performing. Miranda has done the same, switching out a pic of the couple together to a promo shot of an upcoming show.
