A man from Chicago is facing at least 15 years in jail after he was found guilty of sex trafficking a minor in the Butler area.
Department of Justice officials say it took the jury just over an hour to convict 32-year-old Roderick King on multiple counts last Friday.
King was accused of paying a 14-year-old hundreds of dollars for sex on multiple occasions. King also made videos of him sexually exploiting the victim.
Prosecutors say the crimes began in 2017 and it wasn’t until the fall of 2020 when the child walked into the Butler Township Police station and told law enforcement about King.
Justice officials say King will be sentenced at a later date, but faces at least 15 years in prison and a possible fine of $250,000.
