The Chicago Blackhawks shut out the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 last night in game six to win the Stanley Cup final 4-2. The victory allowed the team to celebrate their third Cup championship in the past six years, but first on their home ice since 1938. It was also the first game of the six-game series that was not decided by one goal. Chicago’s Duncan Keith, who scored the game-winning goal last night, was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.
