The stakes to get Connor Bedard, who is expected to be the next “generational talent” in the NHL has gone to the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago received the league’s top overall pick in the annual lottery. Despite the worst point total in the NHL, Anaheim will pick second. Columbus, San Jose and Montreal round out the top five. The Pittsburgh Penguins will draft 14th, their highest pick in 11 years. The NHL draft is June 28th.

–The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 last night and have taken a 2-1 series lead in their Western Conference Series.
NBA Playoffs:
–The Los Angeles Lakers are a win away from playing for the Western Conference championship after defeating the Golden State Warriors 104-101. The Lakers lead the best-of-seven series 3-1.
–The Miami Heat are also within a win of putting the New York Knicks away after a 109-101 victory in their Game 4 in the Eastern Conference Series.
