A restaurant in Cranberry is searching for answers after falling victim to a major theft.
Our news partners at WPXI report that the owner of Monte Cello’s had $100,000 in checks stolen.
Joe Savage told police he mailed eight checks outside of the Cranberry post office, but two of the checks were stolen.
He says the thieves removed the original name on the check and put another name on it, eventually cashing the checks in California and Georgia.
Cranberry Township Police are investigating along with the United States Postal Service.
