Charles Kelley will support his first solo endeavor with a 22-city club tour. The singer will head out on The Driver tour beginning on November 28th at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. The tour will feature special guest Maren Morris. Tickets go on sale on Friday (10/16) at 10 a.m. local time online at charleskelley.com.
Charles tells us: “You know, we kind of skipped this spot with Lady A cause we kind of came out really hot and jumped on all these tours with these big artists and I feel like we missed this whole club vibe that I always wanted to do and dreamed in my head of going and playing clubs and having people right there and being able to just be all on top of them and smell the beer in the air and all of it, and I think that’s one of the things I want to do is just go out there and be kind of really raw and organic and perform that way, too, you know — not have a set list, just feel it and just do something that literally is just a complete 180 from what I’m doing with the band, otherwise why am I doing it, you know? Otherwise I’ll just stay out there and keep doing the same thing.”
Tonight (Tuesday, October 13th), Charles is in New York City to perform his debut single, “The Driver,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He will be joined by his friends Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay who also lent their voices to the track.
