Two adults have been charged in connection to a shooting on Sunday in Summit Township.
State Police filed charges Tuesday against 40-year-old Ryan Bowser and 42-year-old Carolyn Gaiser, who are the parents of a boy who accidentally shot his brother inside their home.
Officers say both boys (a 10 and 11-year-old) were home alone when they heard a noise, got scared and grabbed a gun. Police say they were loading the gun when it when off, striking the 11-year-old in the leg. He is expected to make a full recovery.
During the investigation, police found several unloaded firearms inside the home. Both parents now face child and reckless endangerment charges, which are both misdemeanors.
