The District-9 Double-A championship game between the Karns City and Moniteau girls has been scheduled for 2pm Saturday at Clarion University.
Eight WPIAL championship basketball games will be played this weekend at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh.
Tonight: In Boys: Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic boys meet Sewickley Academy at 7pm in the Single-A final. That game will be followed by the Triple-A championship between Beaver Falls and Highlands at 9pm. Undefeated Aliquippa will meet Lincoln Park at 1pm Saturday in the Double-A final. The Quad-A championship between North Hills and Pine-Richland has a 9pm tip-off tomorrow night.
In Girls: The North Catholic girls play Vincentian tomorrow at 11am. South Fayette and Trinity meet in the Triple-A final at 3pm. The Double-A final between Bishop Canevin and Greensburg Central Catholic is at 5pmtonight.
North Allegheny and undefeated Norwin meet at 7pm tomorrow night in the Quad-A final.
The Portersville Christian boys and girls will both compete for the Southwest Christian Athletic Conference championship Saturday at Geneva College. The boys defeated First Baptist Christian 69-43 last night in the semi-finals, and will meet Cheswick Christian tomorrow at 5pm. The Portersville Christian girls face First Baptist at 3pm.
