There is still time to get tickets for an event this weekend celebrating a special anniversary at Butler County Community College’s Succop Theater.
The Pittsburgh Philharmonic will put on a free concert to celebrate the theater’s 15th anniversary.
“I wanted to do something special,” Larry Stock, Director of the Succop Theater, said.
The concert is set for Sunday at 2 p.m.
Speakers will talk about the upcoming season of the Performing Arts Series at Succop Theater, the Pittsburgh Philharmonic will play for an hour and then the event moves outside for free food.
“About 3:30 p.m. everybody is going to leave the concert and go out to enjoy a free picnic,” Stock said. “We’re going to have a picnic snack, I’m calling it. It’s not an all-you-can-eat buffet but we’re going to have grilled hot dogs and potato chips and cookies and bottled water and it’s all catered by the Fairground Market.”
Those attending will also be able to win door prizes, including tickets for upcoming shows.
Tickets for Sunday’s celebration are available at the Butler Media Group offices at 252 Pillow Street in Butler.
