There is still time for Central Electric Cooperative members to get financial help to become more energy efficient.
The deadline to apply for the Appliance Rebate Program is August 26th due to a depletion of funds.
Rebates are available for Energy Star qualifying appliances including refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers, dishwashers, window air conditioners, and dehumidifiers.
Members should verify that their appliance is Energy Star rated by going to energystar.gov. Appliance rebate forms can be found at central.coop.
CEC is anticipating offering this program again beginning in January of 2017.
