As we continue a stretch of hot days, Central Electric Cooperative is urging members to conserve energy.
A Peak Alert is in place until 6 p.m. Members are asked to turn off all non-essential electric items, especially lighting, dehumidifiers, and pool pumps. They are also asked to not set their air conditioners below 78 degrees.
The cooperative provides electric to some customers in Butler County.
