Power has been restored to all customers following a Central Electric Cooperative outage earlier this afternoon.
According to an email sent out by the CEC around 4 p.m. an outage affecting nearly 3,000 members began around 2 p.m. and included Marion, Mercer, and Venango townships in Butler County as well as several townships in Venango County.
Crews discovered that the problem was caused by a bird.
Service was restored by shortly before 5 p.m. For more information, visit central.coop.
