The director of Butler County’s main economic development organization has resigned.
Steven Gifford abruptly left his job with the Community Development Corporation of Butler County on Tuesday, providing no reason for his decision. He had been on the job for seven months.
President of the CDC Board Josh Fye told our newsroom that the board thanks Gifford and said the CDC remains committed to the mission of creating and retaining jobs in the county through economic development and local projects.
Former Deputy Director Joe Saeler will take over as interim director and manager of operations while a search committee begins to look for a permanent replacement.
