Senator Bob Casey has introduced a bill that will provide more affordable prescription drugs for seniors.
The proposed bill would remove cost-sharing for generic medications for those enrolled in Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy Program and those make less than $15,000 per year.
Those that fall under this program and income currently pay $1.55 per generic drug. The number would be zero under Senators Casey proposed law.
Over 350,000 Pennsylvanian’s would benefit from this law.
