A chilly fundraising gets underway starting tonight in Downtown Butler.
The 6th annual Carved In Ice makes its return to Diamond Park for the next two days. It runs tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. and is geared more toward adults with craft beer and food vendors on hand.
Saturday meanwhile is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is for the whole family. There will be live entertainment, a scavenger hunt for kids, balloon artists, plus a very special guest appearance.
“We’re having the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile,” event organizer Peggy Weckerly said. “And if you’ve never seen it, it’s beyond belief.”
The weinermobile will be there to coincide with the first ever hot dog eating contest featuring local celebrities.
Carved in Ice is sponsored by Butler AM Rotary, with proceeds benefitting the First Responders Memorial at Alameda Park.
