Carrie Underwood will help usher in the new year as this year’s headliner during the live telecast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2016. The New Year’s Eve countdown is live from Times Square in New York City. Carrie will take the stage there just before the ball drops, ringing in 2016. The audience in Times Square alone is expected to surpass one million people.
Carrie said, “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than New York’s Times Square, one of the most magical places in the world, to ring in the New Year.”
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2016 begins at 8 p.m. ET on December 31st on ABC. Host Ryan Seacrest will be joined by Jenny McCarthy in NYC, while Fergiewill host the pretaped segment from Hollywood.
