The Washington Capitals defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 Sunday in Game Two of their Stanley Cup Playoff Series. Kris Letang scored the only Penguins goal, and Washington held the Pens 0-for-3 on the power play. The Capitals have evened the series at 1-1 heading into Game Three Tuesday at PPG Paints Arena.
The Pens lost defenseman Brian Domoulin during the second period after a hit to the head by Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Evgeni Malkin and Carl Hagelin also missed the game because of injury.
Also in the Stanley Cup Playoffs:
–Nashville defeated Winnipeg 5-4 in overtime last night to even their series at 1-1.
–Late Saturday, San Jose defeated Las Vegas 4-3 in double-overtime to even their series. It was the first loss of the playoffs for the Golden Knights.
–Boston and Tampa Bay play Game Two of their series tonight. Boston defeated the Lightning 6-2 Saturday.
