A Butler County community bank is encouraging residents to say “Thank You” to those who step up- and step forward- in times of trouble.
The ‘Step Forward’ campaign, by Mars Bank, is encouraging people to support local first responders, activity military members or veterans by submitting a story about how those groups have impacted local lives.
“We want to celebrate those folks who are always ready to step forward, when others and stepping back, or turning and running,” Mars Bank’s Steve Eckert said.
The ‘Step Forward’ stories that are submitted will be publicized throughout the footprint of Mars Bank.
“We want the community to send in tributes, thank you’s, stories of heroism… and talk about some experience they had with a first responder, police officer or military member,” he said.
The campaign started on 9/11 and runs through Veterans Day on Nov. 11.
Tributes can be written or submitted through a short video. Submissions should be sent to [email protected], on Facebook here, or on Twitter through @MarsBankPA using the #StepForward.
