Butler City Police are investigating a break-in at Kelly Automotive Park earlier this week.
According to Butler Blue Sox managing partner Wink Robinson, sometime between 1 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday someone forced their way into the second floor Blue Sox office.
Between $300 and $500 in petty cash was taken as well as an employee paycheck. Robinson said that this is the first time in the eight year relationship between the team and the park that he can remember something like this happening.
According to Butler Stadium Authority Chairman Nick Ban, cameras have been installed in the area so police will review footage. Increasing additional security measures is likely in the near future.
