William Byron won the eNASCAR race at the virtual Bristol Motor Speedway Sunday. He was the race favorite according to betting lines, won the pole position and led 116 laps of a caution-filled race. Byron had led the most laps of the first two e-races, but failed to win. It was his 309th e-racing win in 1,499 starts. John Hunter Nemechek was the runner-up.
Bubba Wallace appeared to “rage quit” during the race and signed off from his stream. One of his sponsors – “Blue Emu”—apparently didn’t like the move and fired Wallace.
Daniel Suarez was parked for a second straight week after tangling with Kyle Larson. Jimmie Johnson fired his spotter with 20 laps remaining in the race.
