Butler’s Singleton wins WPIAL Cross Country title

Butler High School’s C.J. Singleton won the WPIAL Class 3A championship Friday, as the Golden Tornado took the top two spots in the individual event, with Sage Vavro the runner-up. Singleton ran to the title in a time of 15:50. Vavro ran 16:03. Seneca Valley’s Noah Peterson was three seconds behind Vavro for third place.
Butler was second to North Allegheny in the team event. Seneca Valley third. The Raider Girls were also third.
