Daytime opportunities for community input will also be made available at times and locations still to be determined.
Dr. White is certified to facilitate in this area so the district will not need to pay extra to bring in a strategic planning consultant. White will be using the Cambridge model of strategic plan.
A Strategic Planning Team will be made up of up to three board members, the assistant superintendent, special education director, three principals or assistant principals, six elementary teachers, two middle school teachers, six high school teachers, six students from the Intermediate or Senior High Schools, eight parents and four community members who do not have students in the district. The team will meet for a retreat on Oct. 25-26 to formulate a mission and belief statements. Action planning teams will then be formed for each element of the strategic plan.
