A Butler woman is in jail after police say she tried to hit her group of people with a car.
According to our news partners at WPXI-TV, Shelly Godfrey was at a house on West Brady Street when she got into an argument with someone, eventually hitting and biting the man.
Godfrey then was told to leave the home. She got into a car and circled the block. When she saw the group of people that were in the house standing on the street, Godfrey hit the gas and drove directly at them. Also included in the group people was her daughter, who was nearly hit before getting out of the way.
Godfrey didn’t hit anyone in the group though, and no one was injured. Godfrey was arrested soon after the incident after she nearly sideswiped a police car.
