A local woman is facing charges following an investigation into an alleged retail theft.
According to a police criminal complaint, 30-year-old Megan Miller of Butler was fired by the manager of Rollies Tobacco last month.
The manager notified police and provided evidence that Miller deleted sales transactions, turned off digital video recordings, and deleted items from store inventory. The manager alleges that Miller pocketed nearly $2,800.
Police filed charges including Felony Retail Theft on Tuesday. Miller denies that she took any money and says that she was directed to delete the items from the inventory by the store manager. Miller has been charged with retail theft twice previously.
