The first-ever Butler Carved in Ice festival will take place this weekend.
The Butler AM Rotary is sponsoring the event, which will feature art made out of ice.
Bob Dandoy, former President of Butler Downtown, told us that huge blocks of ice, from the DiMartino Ice Company, will be brought into Diamond Park in downtown Butler. Artists will then start to sculpting designs with chain saws and picks while participants watch.
There will also be a chili cook-off between local restaurants and appearances by Elsa and Ana from the popular children’s movie Frozen.
The festival will be held from 11am-4pm Saturday in Butler’s Diamond Park downtown.
