The head varsity girls’ basketball coach at Butler High School, who has been at the center of some controversy this year, has resigned.
Epps had been a coach in the program for 20 years. She submitted a letter of resignation to Athletic Director Bill Mylan earlier this week.
The district hired an independent counselor earlier this year to investigate parental complaints that Epps was too aggressive. No wrongdoings were discovered.
Basketball practice begins Monday. The season-opener is scheduled for December 4th.
No word on who will replace her.
