May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the Butler VA Health Care System is offering support to veterans even in this time of social distancing.
The VA is inviting veterans to access online resources for routine or non-urgent mental health care and questions in order to reduce the risk of transmission of the coronavirus.
This year’s theme for Mental Health at the VA is “Now is the Time” with veterans encouraged to prioritize mental health and focus on steps to take in order to reach a successful recovery.
Available at-home resources include telephone or video appointments, prescription refills shipped directly to homes, information about managing stress and anxiety, and text message reminders.
Visit the VA’s mental health website for information about these options and more tools to help manage mental health.
