Butler Township residents will likely not see a tax hike next year.
That will mark the seventh consecutive year that taxes have remained stable in the township at 11.25 mills. That means a house in the township assessed at $14,667 will pay a tax bill of $165.
The Butler Township commissioners voted Monday night to post the nearly $8 million budget for public review. This budget includes increasing and enhancing services including many street paving and storm water projects, as well as purchasing new vehicles for the police and public works departments.
Although changes could be made, modifications are unlikely between now and when the budget will be officially passed on Dec. 18.
