Butler Township is once again moving forward with plans to advance a plan for recreation property at Pullman Business Park.
At their meeting Tuesday night, Butler Township Planning Commission recommended approval of a plan that would combine two parcels owned by the Township into one of about 15 acres.
The two parcels are located on the border between the City of Butler and Butler Township but were purchased by the Township about two years ago. A third parcel of about 3.5 acres was also purchased but is located on the other side of the Picklegate Bridge.
This consolidation is a necessary step before the submission of a land development plan for the property that would include improvement of traffic at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road.
