Butler Township continues to move forward with plans for recreation property at Pullman Business Park.
After hearing from Butler Township Manager Tom Knights at their Tuesday night meeting, the Township’s Planning Commission recommended approval of a plan that would see the creation of a soccer field with artificial turf that could also be used for lacrosse.
This facility would be located within the City of Butler and also include temporary bleachers and concessions as well as restrooms, a walking trail, and a 68 space parking area with electric vehicle chargers.
If this project receives final approval from the Butler Township Commissioners later this month, it would be put out to bid with work expected to get underway later this year.
The improvement of traffic at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road is not connected to the recreation project but work could be underway at the same time.
