Butler Township has filled a new administrative position.
At their meeting Monday, Township Commissioners approved the hiring of Zelienople resident Scott Frederick as Director of Emergency Services.
Frederick will provide oversight for the Butler Township Volunteer Fire Department as well as perform the duties of Fire Marshal and will report directly to the Township Manager. He has spent over 10 years with the Harmony Fire District as well as nearly 10 years with the PA Air National Guard.
Frederick will officially begin his new position on Monday, January 10th.
