Butler Township is offering a way to help residents dispose of leaves that might still be leftover from a quickly-moving fall season.
According to Township Manager Tom Knights, the township has made a dumpster available near the police entrance at the municipal building on South Duffy Road for the collection of biodegradable bagged leaves only.
Yard waste is not being accepted in this collection. Bags are available for purchase inside the municipal building at a cost of 40 cents each. Residents can also still burn leaves if they would like, since that deadline has been pushed back to the end of this month.
This dumpster will be available to residents until Dec. 20.
