If you still have trees or limbs lying around your property due to last month’s Winter Storm Avery and you live in Butler Township, you are able to burn them this month.
The Butler Township board of commissioners decided to extend the township’s burning ordinance through December to help residents clean up debris.
Several burning rules remain in place, including no burning after 5 p.m. and on Sundays.
During last month’s storm, Butler Township police and firefighters responded to 150 calls in the first 24 hours, with several more in the days to come.
