Action was taken earlier this week to keep a Butler Township park healthy.
A section of the prairies at Preston Park was burned under supervision on Monday.
Prescribed burns happen every year at Preston Park as part of responsible prairie management and in order to reduce ticks and tick-borne diseases.
The park did not need to be closed in order for the burn to take place.
