The Butler Farm Show plans to use some recently consolidated property near the border between Butler and Connoquenessing townships to expand their yearly antiques show.
The Butler Township Commissioners gave approval to the plan that connects three pieces of property off Fortieth Street in Butler and Connoquenessing Townships – totaling about three acres with the Farm Show’s existing 43 acres.
A few residents expressed concern about how the proposal would impact their neighboring properties as well as the current state of excess water on the new Farm Show addition.
A representative of the Farm Show explained how the addition would allow for more room to display a large collection of antique tractors with foot traffic access only. A fence could be constructed to give neighbors some privacy. He also mentioned how work is taking place and will continue to take place to improve drainage on the property.
