The Butler Track and Field teams competed at the Youngstown State Invitational Saturday and brought home three first-place finishes, and had numerous athletes reach All-Time marks.
Three relay teams took first place finishes, with two netting spots in the all-time top-10 list. The girls 4×400 Relay team of Adraya Baxter, Lyla Bowden, Madi McGarrah and Jocie Slesinski won their event in a time of 4:11.81 — which places their time seventh on the Butler all-time top-10 list. Same story for the boys 4×200 Relay team of Logan Ekas, Chris Rubcic, Aaron Stebick and Kevin Shriver and their time of 1:31.85.
Josie Slesinski took fourth in the girls 200-meter race – but her time of 26.54 is the fourth-fastest time in Butler program history.
Adraya Baxter was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles, but her time of 9.82 seconds was seventh all-time on the Butler High record chart.
The Butler boys 4×400 Relay team of Zach Slear, Aaron Stebick, Logan Rogers and Kevin Shriver took first place.
–Shriver also took fourth in the 200-meter sprint – with a time of 23.32 seconds. That mark is 10th-best in Butler High school history.
–Slear also took a fourth place finish in the 1600-meter run in a seventh-best all-time mark of 4:29.95.
