Butler Township will contribute toward a traveling monument for veterans that will be making a local stop this summer.
The township commissioners voted unanimously during a meeting Monday to spend $200 on a side-by-side double page advertisement in the memorial book that will be given out to veterans’ families who visit the memorial in August 2017.
The purpose of the ad is to recognize and support local veterans. Butler Township’s ad will be designed by Township Assistant Manager Cheryl McNeill.
