The hiring process for the assistant manager of Butler Township is nearing completion.
Township Manager Ed Kirkwood informed the commissioners during a meeting Monday that only one more interview for the second round of interviews has yet to be made.
Kirkwood will then pick from six candidates for the position. That person will work closely with him and other township employees.
Kirkwood anticipates the new hire to begin in the second or third week of April.
