Butler Township has reached an agreement with their twelve Road Department employees.
The Butler Township commissioners ratified the new five-year contract Monday night by a vote of 4-1. Commissioner Dave Zarnick voted against the deal saying that he was not happy with some of the language.
According to Township Manager Ed Kirkwood, a few changes were made from the previous deal including raises over each year of the contract as well as higher employee contributions on health care.
The Road Department employee union has already ratified this agreement.
