Butler Township will be getting more businesses at an already busy shopping center.
The Butler Township Commissioners gave their approval Monday night to a plan by Cedarwood Development to build a new structure on a currently vacant lot at the Butler Crossing plaza.
The Butler Township Planning Commission gave their approval last month and the motion was then passed onto the commissioners for their final approval. It is now a go.
The building will be constructed on 2.6 acres behind the current Applebees Restaurant and house six tenants. Negotiations about who those tenants will be are ongoing but at least one will be a restaurant.
Construction is likely to begin in late winter or early spring.
